My Instagram has recently been filled with beautiful writings by calligraphy gurus. In the attempt to write calligraphy, I bought Tombow calligraphy pen and Koi brush pen to practice letterings on my own. Boy, it’s so therapeutic and I’ve been hooked ever since.
However, my work is far from those I see on my Instagram feed. I thought of attending a class to learn copperplate calligraphy properly. Here’s a list of classes that I’ve found:
1. KLigraphy
Founded by two calligraphy and lettering enthusiast, KLigraphy conducts lessons for Pointed Pen and Brush Calligraphy at cafes around Petaling Jaya. They also provide on-site calligraphy services for different events.

Cziplee is a artshop located in Bangsar. Through ArtMakr, it organises art workshop such as journalling, calligraphy, and quill classes.

Stickerrific is a journal/craft store & cafe located in Jaya One, Petaling Jaya. They conduct calligraphy and other classes at their cosy store.

Black Milk Project is located at Subang Jaya, a residential enclave located just off Persiaran Kewajipan & NPE Highway. Besides calligraphy classes, Black Milk Project also conduct watercolour workshops.
